Car manufacturers all over the world regularly promote modern ideas, innovative technologies, and materials for the new car models that appear in the world of the automotive industry.

Drivers are provided with favorable conditions for comfortable and safe driving as modern cars are fuel-efficient and easy to operate. All this became possible due to a great number of special systems embedded in modern cars which make them quite complicated mechanisms. As a result, the number of systems that need maintenance and the complexity of their repair grew up.

Every workshop is interested in providing quick and quality services that ensure a high and stable income. Therefore, the purchase of modern diagnostic equipment is an obligatory and important step. Obviously, technology development progresses ahead. All the diagnostic equipment can be divided into three groups according to their purpose.

Auto scanners

Diagnostic scanners (auto scanners) relate to the first group. The scanners can read electronic control unit (ECU) data, i.e. errors saved to the ECU memory; they enable to obtain signals from sensors as well as the ratings the ECU manipulates. Such diagnostic scanners activate different executive units to check their performance parameters. These parameters show the operability of the unit. The list of functions is not complete.

Equipment for diagnostics of ICE

The second group includes the equipment for diagnostics of an internal combustion engine. All the devices allow detecting faults and précising the diagnostic scanner readings. The most well-known devices of the group are mini testers, specialized automotive oscilloscopes, exhaust gas analyzers, pressure gauges, simulators of sensor signals, and etc.

Test benches and testers for diagnostics of car electrical, steering and brake systems, suspensions, and climate systems

The third group includes test benches and testers for diagnostics of car electrical, steering and brake systems, suspensions, climate systems, and etc.

Let’s consider the following diagnostic equipment of MSG Equipment ™: MS012, MS004, MS111, MS561, MS603N – 220V. These are the high-demand items of our product line.

  • MS012 Tester enables to check the technical condition of voltage regulators of 12/24V alternators both in assembly with the alternator and separately from it.
  • MS004 COM multifunctional test bench is intended to diagnose 12/24V alternators under load (for 12V - up to 100A, for 24V – up to 50A), 12/24V starters with a power of up to 4kW – idly, and all the types of modern voltage regulators.
  • MS111 Test bench is designed to diagnose all types of vehicle AC compressors. The test bench checks the performance of the electromagnetic clutch and electromagnetic control valve both in assembly with the compressor and separately from it. It enables to carry out a post-maintenance run of compressors and after-sale check of analog compressors to provide the customers with a warranty.
  • MS561 Controller is designed to check the performance of EPS steering racks and HPS hydraulic pumps. The controller powers the unit and provides special program codes required to start and diagnose the unit. It can test the unit both in the car or separately from it. MS561 has an OBD II connector for an external diagnostic scanner so it could read current parameters, detect and eliminate errors.
  • MS603N-220V universal stand for diagnostics and flushing of hydraulic power steering units. The stand checkы steering racks and electrohydraulic pumps both for leak and operability.

Results

To sum up, it should be noted that the purchase of professional diagnostic equipment is a serious investment and should be carefully thought out, on the one hand. On the other hand, it will push you on to the next level of service, raise productivity, that will certainly attract the new customers.
