Test bench for diagnostics of alternators and starters
The MS005A test bench is designed for fast and accurate diagnostics of alternators and starters for passenger and commercial vehicles. The test bench features high power, which, combined with its electronic control system, enables the diagnostics of a wide range of components. Thanks to the alternator database, the presence of an automatic diagnostic mode, and the ability to use special cables, the time spent on testing components is reduced. A distinctive feature of the MS005A test bench is its capability to diagnose 48V belt-driven starter-generators of mild hybrid vehicles.

Overview
The MS005A test bench provides a comprehensive assessment of the technical condition of:
- Automotive alternators with a nominal voltage of 12 V and 24 V with any terminal connections.
- 12 V "Stop-Start" system alternators and "I-ELOOP" (Mazda) alternators.
- 48 V belt-driven starter-generators controlled via CAN bus, with the capability to read data from the control unit of this generator type using a diagnostic scanner.
- Automotive starters with a power rating of up to 11 kW and a nominal voltage of 12 V and 24 V, tested in no-load mode.
The test bench displays key parameters in graphical form, providing more information on the unit's technical condition and increasing diagnostic accuracy. 12V/24V alternators and starters can be diagnosed in both manual and automatic modes. A report of the automatic test can then be printed on an external printer or saved to the test bench’s memory. The test bench allows the use of custom automatic test algorithms for alternators.
