Special repair tools for HPS racks
MSG TM tools are represented by a range of tools and accessories for repairing steering racks with GUR/ESD, shock absorbers, alternators and starters, brake calipers.
The most extensive of these is the line of tools for steering racks with GUR. These units consist of many elements, which during repair it is important to correctly remove, install, fix, and the nuts and fasteners are different from standard hexes.
MSG tools for repair of steering racks with GUR
- The MS00058 collet packing puller is probably the most recognisable and sought-after special tool. Using it, the master very easily and safely removes the hydraulic cylinder packing (without the special tool, this operation takes a lot of time and not always possible to remove the packing correctly). There are two versions of this collet puller MS00005 – standard and shortened, which is used to work with the distributor body.
- Gland Installation Kit MS00030. The set includes: two pressing rods (long and short) and tips for precise installation of the gland in the hydraulic cylinder.
- Teflon ring crimps MS00074, MS00075, MS00076. Thanks to the tapered inner surface of the crimp, the craftsman can seat the rings correctly in the rail distributor. Three sizes of this tool are available to work with the most common steering racks.
- Tools for replacing the packing and piston of the steering rack rod MS00119, MS00120, MS00120, MS00121, which are used in pairs (6 in total). The design of these tools is similar, but some are designed to install oil seals, others – retaining rings.
- A universal set of wrenches that are suitable for working with units of about 200 car models. With the help of wrenches it is possible to unscrew connections or nuts, the shape and size of which differ from standard hexes.
