Electric and hybrid cars are making their way into our lives. Each new model has a longer range and shorter charging time. At the same time, they are cheaper to run in urban areas than a liquid-fuelled car, which is why they are growing in popularity every year.

In electric cars and hybrids, the air-conditioning system maintains the optimum temperature not only in the passenger compartment but also in the traction battery. This system therefore requires closer monitoring of its technical condition.

The air conditioning system of electric cars and hybrids uses an electric compressor, which consists of:

  • node that compresses the refrigerant;
  • an AC motor;
  • inverter supplying the electric motor

MSG Equipment has developed a new MS112 test bench to diagnose electric compressors. This bench allows you to test the electrical components of your compressor and evaluate compressor performance. It provides a variety of useful features to help automotive technicians check electrical compressors quickly, efficiently and with minimal effort.
