Training course on diagnostics and repair of electric and mechanical car air conditioning compressors

A hands-on course for service center professionals who want to master the diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of vehicle climate systems, including belt-driven and electric compressors (for hybrids and EVs). Over 4 days, participants will study theory and practice using modern equipment. Upon completion — full readiness to work independently with any complexity of air conditioning systems.

What you will learn

  • Principles of operation of automotive climate control systems
  • Different types of compressors and their construction
  • Fault diagnostics and repair methods
  • Use of specialized equipment for compressor repair
  • Restoration of system tightness and leak prevention
  • Skills in flushing, vacuuming, and refilling A/C systems
  • Hands-on experience with various compressor types and typical malfunctions

This course is designed for automotive service professionals who want to master working with vehicle climate control systems at an advanced level.

The 4-day course covers the principles of diagnosing, servicing, and repairing automotive air conditioning systems. Special attention is given to the diagnostics of both belt-driven compressors for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric compressors used in electric and hybrid cars.

The course includes a theoretical section and practical sessions using modern equipment: charging stations, flushing and vacuum systems, soldering and MSG Equipment diagnostic test benches. Participants will disassemble and reassemble compressors and perform testing on specialized equipment.

Topics include diagnosis of typical malfunctions, proper service procedures, and selection of repair kits. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to independently work with automotive air conditioning systems of any complexity.
